Joriel got her start working for local and statewide non-profit organizations in Virginia, where she spent eight years producing countless brochures, newsletters, grants and public awareness campaigns. She gradually transitioned into freelance writing for local publications and non-profits, including Richmond Magazine, Style Weekly, Virginia Commonwealth University, and VCU Health System.
